Advice

Pre-production advice

On a film set or in a photographic studio the animals will behave better when they are comfortable. We can advise on the best way to get the shots you want, what facilities are necessary, training, transportation, access, parking, etc.

We know what it takes to get the best from the animals and save costly studio time. We can also suggest which type of animal is most likely to do what you require.

We are highly experienced in working from scripts to help plan, schedule and cost projects.

This panel shows some of the animals we can advise on.

Historical accuracy
We can advise on which animals are appropriate for the period of your production and have access to many of the old, now rare, breeds.

Choice of animals
We can advise on the suitability of the animal chosen for a production and will be glad to advise if altenatives are needed.

Scheduling
We can suggest the ideal order of production shots to get the best results, and how long is required.

Training
We can advise on and carry out training so that the animals are ready to carry out the role you want. On major projects we can supervise the sourcing of animals, coordinated their age ranges (for example if a film is shot over a long time), train the animals and take care of their welfare.

Passports and Movement Orders
DEFRA (The UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) have strict rules controlling the identification and movements of livestock. These rules apply even if only one of the species covered is kept.We can advise on these regulations, the need for animal passports, movement orders, etc.

Use the menu at the top of this page to reference to a wide range of animals. If you cannot find the pictures you need we will be glad to discuss your requirements and email more images.
