Animal Welfare

The welfare of animals is always at the centre of everything we do. We are founder members of the Animal Consultants and Trainers Association (ACTA) which was established as a professional body to ensure the highest standards of best practice, health and safety and animal welfare.

Fully trained, caring handlers. All of our trainers and animal handlers are fully trained to current NVQ standards. Cindy Newman, owner of Animals Galore, is an assessor in 'Animals in the Media' and trains many people who come into the industry.

Legislation also guides the use and handling of animals in the UK and Europe. We monitor and keep up-to-date with all relevant legislation.

Movement Orders are necessary for certain types of animals. We can advise on this aspect and obtain all neccessary orders as required.

Veterinary attendance is now required on all commercials and film sets using animals. We can arrange a vet for your production or give you a list of approved vets. We always recommend ACTA vets. They are familiar with animals on set and comply with the ACTA guidelines.

Performing Animals Licence. We hold a current performing animals licence.

Public Liability Insurance. We have a comprehensive public liability insurance.
